Megan Thee Stallion Photographer Sues for Alleged Abuse and Wrongful Termination

A photographer who worked for Megan Thee Stallion, Emilio Garcia, has filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court, alleging that he was subjected to various forms of abuse while employed by the rapper. Garcia claims that during a night out in Ibiza, Spain in 2022, he was in an SUV with Megan Thee Stallion when she allegedly began having sex with another woman right next to him. The lawsuit states that Garcia, who was unable to exit the moving vehicle, was left feeling embarrassed, mortified, and offended. The following day, Garcia alleges that Megan Thee Stallion instructed him not to discuss the incident and subjected him to berating and fat-shaming. Garcia also claims that he was misclassified as an independent contractor but treated as an exclusive employee, and that he was fired the day after raising concerns about his working conditions with Megan Thee Stallion. In the lawsuit, Garcia alleges that he has suffered severely both emotionally and physically as a result of the alleged abuse and his subsequent firing. He is seeking financial damages to be determined at trial. Megan Thee Stallion’s attorney, Alex Spiro, has stated that she will fight the lawsuit, calling it an employment claim with no sexual harassment claim filed and with salacious accusations to attempt to embarrass her. The lawsuit, which was first reported by NBC News, names as defendants Megan Thee Stallion, whose legal name is Megan Pete; her companies Megan Thee Stallion Entertainment and Hot Girl Touring; and her label, Roc Nation. A defense response has yet to be filed.
