Meghan Markle Attends Business Summit in the Hamptons

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, was spotted at a business event in the Hamptons, New York, reuniting with two close friends. On Friday, makeup artist Bobbi Brown posted a picture with Meghan and her longtime friend Misha Nonoo at the G9 Ventures Summer Summit in East Hampton to her Instagram account.

The photo shows Meghan wearing an oatmeal-colored linen vest and trousers by St. Agni. The event, organized by G9 Ventures, a firm that invests in early-stage startups founded by entrepreneur Amy Griffin, reportedly included other notable guests such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon, Laura Dern, Katie Couric, Julianne Hough, Naomi Watts, and Spanx founder Sara Blakely.

According to Page Six, Meghan traveled to the exclusive enclave via private jet with entrepreneur Jamie Kern Lima, the co-founder of IT Cosmetics. Sources revealed that the Duchess was attending the summit to gather advice on launching her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, which she announced in March.

Lima later shared photos on her Instagram, showcasing Meghan at the event, including a picture of them sitting next to former anchor Diane Sawyer. Fashion designer Misha Nonoo, who married heir Mikey Hess in 2019, has been close to Meghan for nearly a decade and even attended her wedding to Prince Harry in May 2018.

Bobbi Brown, who left her eponymous beauty brand in 2017 to become the founder and face of Jones Road, has collaborated with Meghan in the past. They worked together on a promotional video in September 2016 where Brown taught the future Duchess how to apply makeup in the back of an Uber.

Meghan unveiled her plans for American Riviera Orchard earlier this year through a new Instagram account and a soft-focus video. While its products are expected to reach the public soon, only a few sneak peeks have been shared. In March, Meghan sent out limited-edition jars of jam to a select group of friends, including Tracy Robbins and Delfina Blaquier. By April, the list of recipients was rumored to include Kris Jenner, Mindy Kaling, Chrissy Teigen, and longstanding friends Abigail Spencer and Kelly McKee Zajfen.

Although a trademark application for the brand outlines a broad range of potential products, including yoga mats, nut butters, and aromatherapy oil diffusers, the full scope of American Riviera Orchard remains to be seen.
