Meghan Markle Recycles Glamorous Red Gown for Children’s Hospital Gala

Meghan Markle graced the red carpet at the Children’s Hospital 2024 Los Angeles Gala with a surprise appearance, showcasing her support for the organization and its invaluable work. The Duchess of Sussex, known for her elegant style, opted for a glamorous red gown by Carolina Herrera, a design she had previously worn in 2021.

Speaking about the hospital’s mission, Markle shared, “The work that they do is otherworldly. From my standpoint as a mother, no one wants to be in a position where you need to go to a place like this, but if you have to, the best place in the world you could go would be Children’s Hospital L.A.”

The stunning red silk-faille gown, originally worn to the Intrepid Museum’s Salute To Freedom Gala in 2021, featured a sweeping train. For this occasion, Markle gave the dress a contemporary twist by removing the train, allowing the elegant column silhouette and daring leg slit to take center stage. She accessorized the look with minimal jewelry and matching red satin sandals.

This isn’t the first time Meghan Markle has embraced sustainable fashion by re-wearing pieces from her wardrobe. Earlier this year, she sported the same yellow Carolina Herrera column gown she wore to announce her pregnancy with Princess Lilibet back in 2021. She’s also a known advocate for repeating her favorite pieces from brands like Sentaler, Stella McCartney, and Aritzia, proving that timeless investment pieces can be styled and worn again and again.

Markle’s latest red carpet appearance showcases her commitment to both elegant style and sustainability, making a statement with a glamorous gown that embodies her signature fashion choices.
