The couple was spotted arriving in Los Angeles amid reports that The Archewell Foundation is allegedly facing allegations of outstanding legal fees. A spokesperson for the organization has denied these claims.
Upon their arrival in California, Meghan Markle was observed walking ahead of Prince Harry. Body language expert Judi James suggested that this could indicate a shift in power dynamics, with Meghan taking a more assertive role. “Harry’s shoulders look slumped, and he walks alone, wearing what appears to be a mouth clamp gesture. Meghan appears to be the one taking care of business,” James told The Mirror.
James further noted that during their trip to Nigeria, the couple was constantly “perma-linked,” walking hand-in-hand and side-by-side. However, upon their return to Los Angeles, Meghan walked ahead, proceeding to the car while Harry loaded their bags into the trunk. James speculated that Meghan may have been handling a phone call at the time.
Meghan wore a long brown jacket and white trousers, paired with nude pointed flats. She carried sunglasses and her phone while a gold watch adorned her wrist. Harry followed behind, dressed in a gray button-up shirt and a black suit jacket with dark trousers.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s trip to Nigeria was met with criticism from some quarters, including Mail on Sunday Editor at Large Charlotte Griffiths, who labeled it a “farce” and a “fake royal tour.” “They’re cosplaying how to be royal, and it was also a fashion show, as far as I can tell,” Griffiths said.
She further commented on Meghan’s outfit, which was estimated to cost around £3000, calling it inappropriate given the poverty in Nigeria. “It’s just a farce. But at least it has given us some laughs because that clip of them staring straight ahead during the national anthem is just hilarious.”
