Meghan Markle’s Acting Career Unlikely to Resume, Says Expert
Royal expert Simon Vigar believes that Meghan Markle’s extensive publicity during her time as a Royal has eclipsed her previous career as an actress, making it highly unlikely that she will return to starring roles in front of the camera.
Despite launching Archewell Productions with Prince Harry and working as an executive producer on various projects, Vigar argues that Meghan’s portrayal as “Meghan, the Duchess” in the public eye would overshadow her ability to portray other characters convincingly.
Meghan’s screen appearances since her marriage have been limited to her and Harry’s Netflix docu-series, “Harry & Meghan,” and the upcoming Netflix series focused on polo and lifestyle. While Meghan’s media career may continue to grow as her children grow older and require less constant care, Vigar does not foresee her resuming her role as Rachel Zane on “Suits” or taking on similar acting projects.
