Harry fondly referred to it as his “starter home,” a two-bedroom property with a small garden. This request, according to Schofield, was denied due to concerns about privacy and other factors. The Royals reportedly warned the couple that living at Windsor Castle would expose them to a significant intrusion of their privacy, given the numerous public tours conducted throughout the year.
Despite the denials, Markle’s alleged “fixation” on spacious castle accommodations, according to Schofield, was partly fueled by her perceived rivalry with Kate Middleton. Markle wanted “something of similar value” to Kate’s lavish apartment at Kensington Palace, where she lives with Prince William and their children.
