Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg debuted a new cat-eye frame style for the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses, along with a video calling feature, Apple Music integration, and the launch of an early access program for its multimodal AI. The video calling capability connects to WhatsApp and Messenger, enabling users to make hands-free calls. Apple Music integration allows for voice-controlled playback of songs, playlists, and more. Additionally, the existing Wayfarer and Headliner models have received new color options, with the Headliner also offering a low-bridge fit for improved stability. Meta’s multimodal AI, initially introduced in December, provides users with additional information and assistance when taking photos with the glasses. It can identify plant species, suggest Instagram captions, and translate foreign language signs.
