Metallis Resources Inc. is thrilled to share the results of their inaugural field exploration program at the Greyhound Property, a high-grade silver/gold/antimony project located in central Idaho. The program, which included detailed geological mapping, XRF surveys, soil sampling, and rock sampling, has yielded multiple high-grade silver, gold, lead, zinc, and antimony assays. These results confirm the historic high-grade results from previous mining operations and provide a strong foundation for future exploration efforts.
Highlighting the Significance of the Results:
*
Remarkable Sample Results:
Surface rock samples have returned exceptional assay grades, with some exceeding 67.02 g/t AuEq* (gold equivalent), including numerous grab samples exceeding 10 g/t AuEq. This demonstrates the significant potential of the Greyhound Property for high-grade mineralization.*
High-Grade Antimony:
The exploration program also revealed outstanding antimony (Sb) results, with 12% of the rock assays exceeding 1% Sb. The highest antimony grade was discovered at the Bulldog Showing, which delivered a significant 4.54% Sb.*
Advancing Targets:
The successful mapping of high-grade mineralization at the surface allows Metallis to advance the project to the next phases, which include geophysics and drilling. This will provide a clearer understanding of the depth and extent of the mineralization.*
Discovery Potential:
The identification of a new showing, the Akita, has expanded the potential for further discoveries across the underexplored property. This highlights the significant exploration upside of the Greyhound Property.In-Depth Analysis of the Results:
The exploration program involved the collection of 133 rock samples, encompassing 64 continuous chip samples and 69 grab samples. These samples, taken across the property, revealed impressive assay results for various metals and minerals, including silver, gold, lead, zinc, and antimony.
Standout Results:
A total of 21 grab samples returned values greater than 10 g/t AuEq, with several exhibiting very high-grade results. These high-grade zones are distributed along the entire length of the shear zones, underscoring the potential for extensive mineralization. The highest-grade sample, taken from the Birdie Showing, returned a remarkable 67.0 g/t AuEq, with values up to 5,300 g/t Ag and 13.8 g/t Au.
Continuous Chip Sampling:
Continuous chip sampling, performed at nine different locations where historic trenching had exposed bedrock, yielded promising results. The Bulldog Showing, for instance, returned values up to 6.4 g/t AuEq over a 3-meter interval, with multiple zones demonstrating continuous grades.
Vertical Continuity:
The program also demonstrated vertical continuity of the mineralized shoots. Positive results were obtained from the 1350 surface trench, located 200 meters above a well-mineralized zone in the Lower Rufus Adit. This finding reinforces the likelihood of a high-grade mineralized shoot existing in this area.
Soil Sampling:
Soil sampling led to the discovery of a new, large Pb/Zn/As/Sb anomaly east of the Idaho Showing. This anomaly, coupled with the discovery of the Akita Showing, suggests the presence of parallel shears across the property, further enhancing the exploration potential.
Geological Mapping:
Surface mapping revealed that the orogenic mineralization at Greyhound is hosted by complex arrays of quartz-sulfide veins within several parallel, steeply dipping shear zones. The consistency of the Greyhound shear zone, extending over 3.6 km and remaining open on either end, is another positive indicator for the project’s potential.
Metallis’s Next Steps:
Metallis is actively evaluating options for the next phase of exploration at the Greyhound Property, which may include geophysics and drilling. These efforts are focused on unlocking the significant value of this promising asset.
