Michigan Man Arrested for Brandishing Gun at Hotel Guests
A Michigan man has been arrested after allegedly threatening two hotel guests with a gun at a Comfort Inn in Mason County. The incident prompted the evacuation of a portion of the hotel, but no one was injured.
Mason County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the hotel around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. They determined that the suspect, a 40-year-old Pinconning man, was still in the building. An area of the hotel was then evacuated before deputies made contact.
The suspect turned himself in to deputies around 9 p.m. He was taken into custody and lodged at Mason County Jail. He faces charges of felony assault and brandishing a firearm.
