Blake Corum, a former standout running back for the University of Michigan, has found a new home in the NFL with the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams selected Corum with the 83rd overall pick in the second round of this year’s draft, bolstering their backfield.
Corum leaves Michigan as a decorated player, having rushed for 3,737 yards and 58 touchdowns in his three seasons with the Wolverines. He played a pivotal role in the team’s run to the national championship game last year, contributing 27 rushing touchdowns.
Now with the Rams, Corum will join a backfield that includes Kyren Williams, the team’s leading rusher from last season. Corum’s addition provides the Rams with another versatile and dynamic option in the running game.
Corum’s selection marks the second time in this year’s draft that a former Michigan player has been taken by Los Angeles. The Rams previously selected wide receiver Mike Sainristil in the sixth round. It also adds to the growing list of Michigan alumni in the NFL, showcasing the program’s continued success in developing talented players.
