Davion Primm, a redshirt junior who played both running back and defensive back for Michigan State, has entered the NCAA transfer portal.
Primm has rushed for 18 yards on seven carries in nine career games with the Spartans. He has also contributed on special teams.
With Michigan State’s top three running backs returning next season and the addition of two 2024 recruits, Primm has decided to seek a new opportunity.
Michigan State wrapped up spring practice on Saturday, with Nathan Carter emerging as the clear No. 1 running back. Primm played with the second-team offense during the scrimmage, while Jalen Berger and Jaren Mangham did not play.
The Spartans are still active in the transfer portal and recently hosted a pair of running backs, Andrew Paul from Georgia and Kayron Lynch-Adams from UMass.
