Mike Tyson’s Intense Workouts Raise Injury Concerns Among Former Trainers

According to his former trainers, Mike Tyson’s intense training regimen could put him at risk of injury. Brad Rowe, who trained Tyson for his exhibition fight against Roy Jones Jr. in 2020, said that Tyson’s unorthodox running form and lack of flexibility could lead to problems.

Rowe is not the only one who has expressed concerns about Tyson’s workouts. Abel Sanchez, who has trained multiple world champions, said that sprint work is important, but Tyson’s lack of flexibility could result in an injury. Aaron Snowell, Tyson’s trainer for around five years during the mid-1980s, insisted that sprints done right would only make the boxer’s punches more powerful.

Despite the concerns of his former trainers, Tyson is continuing to train for his summer fight against Jake Paul. Tyson has said that he is willing to work hard to achieve his goal of defeating Paul, but his trainers are urging him to be cautious and avoid injury.
