After a brief guest appearance in the pilot episode, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher will not be returning to Netflix’s ‘That ’90s Show.’ Kunis explained the decision, citing plot inconsistencies that she believes compromise the integrity of her character, Jackie Burkhart.
In an interview with Access Hollywood, Kunis revealed that she had reservations about Jackie and Kelso’s relationship in the new series. In the original ‘That ’70s Show’ finale, Jackie ended up with Fez, played by Wilmer Valderrama. However, in the revival, Jackie is shown with Kelso, who was previously married to Shannon Elizabeth’s character, Brooke.
Kunis expressed her dissatisfaction with this change, stating, “I called BS. I was like, ‘My character would be with Fez.'”
Despite the departure of Kunis and Kutcher, other cast members from the original series will make appearances throughout the season. Seth Green, who portrayed the season five and six villain Mitch Miller, has confirmed he will return. Whether or not Miller was a fan favorite remains to be seen.
