Milan, the fashion capital, is buzzing with excitement as the Spring/Summer 2025 collections take center stage. Vogue Philippines’ fashion director Pam Quiñones and correspondent Patricia Burén are on the ground, giving us a front-row seat to the latest trends.
Del Core
Del Core’s collection for Spring 2025 is a symphony of sheer layers, swirl-hemmed knits, and crushed silk goddess dresses. The show opened with billowing, oversized white organza trench coats, creating an ethereal and dramatic first impression. As the collection evolved, we saw more structured pieces emerge, like tailored pantsuits with a relaxed fit and cropped leather jackets paired with shorts, offering a blend of sophistication and effortless cool.
Max Mara
Max Mara’s collection is a masterclass in neutral dressing, showcasing their impeccable tailoring and knitwear expertise. The palette spans sophisticated rich browns and skin tones to navy, indigo, and slate gray. Standout pieces include impeccably-cut coats cinched at the waist with belt bags-cum-clutches, draped linen dresses with smart cutouts, and slim jackets with peek-a-boo backs.
Prada
Prada’s Spring 2025 collection is a captivating blend of past and present. Drawing inspiration from some of its most iconic looks, the collection introduces goggle hats, porthole skirts, and skirts suspended from harnesses trimmed with long white leather fringe. We also see sportswear with shirt collars and hems tilted at odd angles, adding a playful and unexpected element. Quiñones describes the collection as “pulled together with deliberate chaos,” suggesting a conscious effort to humanize fashion and move away from homogeneity.
