Milan’s cobblestone streets have been transformed into a fashion maelstrom with the arrival of men’s fashion week. Cameras click, celebrities draw crowds, and impeccably dressed individuals fill the streets. At the heart of this fashion frenzy, Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2025 witnessed the debut of Adrian Appiolaza’s menswear collection for Moschino, titled ‘Lost and Found.’ Blending fashion with nostalgia, Appiolaza’s playful take on the office siren trend featured deconstructed blazers as dresses, tank tops adorned with paperclips, and jackets covered in Post-it notes. Prada’s vision for summer included off-kilter proportions, creating a trippy runway showcasing colorful cardigans, striped pullovers, and cropped jackets. Meanwhile, Gucci’s vacation-oriented collection embraced bold colors and oversized collars, with hibiscus and dolphin printed bowling shirts layered over each other. Complete with stretchy swim shoes and bright chokers, the ensembles were designed to seamlessly transition from city to shore.
On the streets, the summer vibe and a relaxed insouciance permeated the atmosphere. Attendees sported coordinated outfits, both in denim and linen, while the summer uniform of boxy button-ups and baggy pants remained a perennial favorite. Chunky loafers were omnipresent, complementing outfits from casual to formal. A special mention goes to the Gucci super-skinny scarf from Fall/Winter 2024, an accessory that instantly elevated unbuttoned shirts and tank tops.
