Million-Dollar Supercars Take Center Stage at Salon Privé

The historic cricket lawn of Blenheim Palace has been transformed into a haven for the world’s most exclusive automobiles, as the annual Salon Privé motor show returns. This year, the event is celebrating the color blue, with a curated collection of some of the rarest and most valuable blue cars ever assembled.

Among the many highlights, visitors are treated to a staggering £120 million worth of vehicles, including two Ferrari 250 GTOs, Bugatti Chirons, Veyrons, F40s, 512s, and a host of other iconic models.

Making its UK debut is the Naran hyper coupe, a five-liter V8 sports car boasting over 1,000bhp. This British-designed marvel promises a thrilling 0-60 mph time of around 2.3 seconds and a 0-200 mph sprint in a mere 16.5 seconds. The Naran features a 2+2 seating layout, offering a white-knuckle ride for three passengers.

“It’s been labeled a hyper coupe, so it’s a two-plus-two, raw and visceral GT3 style car for the road. It’s a hypercar, we’re producing 39 of them and the idea is to make it feel like the automotives of yesteryear, when it was an accomplishment to drive them, an enjoyment and a challenge,” explains Harry Hughes, the marketing manager at Naran.

Only 39 Narans will ever be built, making it an exclusive option for the super-rich. The price tag? A hefty two million Euros. But the exclusivity doesn’t stop there, as owners get the privilege of naming their own cars.

“Naming rights go to the beholder, and basically from that point onwards it’s all bespoke. We’ve had people request horsehair, marble finishes, stripped out, all from there basically,” says Hughes.

Another highlight is the launch of Tuthill’s GT ONE, a tribute to the original car built for the legendary GT1 class race in France. This modern iteration boasts a flat-six, four-liter engine producing up to 600hp, a full carbon-fiber body, and twin wishbone front and rear suspension.

“This car sits a little higher than most cars of this type, and we have a tremendous amount of suspension travel, therefore we should have a perfect road car,” explains Richard Tuthill, the boss of Tuthill.

Salon Privé offers a unique glimpse into the world of ultra-exclusive automobiles, showcasing not only the latest innovations but also the timeless allure of classic models. The event serves as a testament to the enduring fascination with speed, performance, and the ultimate expression of automotive excellence.
