Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Jakob Junis was hit in the head by a line drive during Pittsburgh Pirates batting practice Monday afternoon before the teams’ scheduled game at PNC Park.
Junis was alert and responsive before being taken by ambulance for observation. The right-handed reliever, who is on the 15-day injured list with a right shoulder injury, was running in the outfield when he was struck.
