Minor Hotels Brings Avani to Singapore, Expanding Global Hospitality Footprint

Minor Hotels, a leading global hospitality group with over 550 properties in 56 countries, is expanding its reach by introducing the Avani Hotels & Resorts lifestyle brand to Singapore. This marks the group’s first venture into the Singaporean market, with a 13-storey upscale hotel slated to open in the first quarter of 2027. The new hotel is a key part of Minor Hotels’ strategic global expansion efforts.

Located at 24 Peck Seah Street, the 200-room property is a collaborative project between Minor Hotels, Singapore’s Kajima Development, and Abu Dhabi-based Alwathba Investment. Its prime location in the vibrant Tanjong Pagar district provides guests with a unique blend of contemporary luxury and Singapore’s rich cultural heritage. Within walking distance of the Central Business District and Chinatown, the hotel offers a modern experience while embracing the historical charm of the city’s iconic shophouses.

Tanjong Pagar is renowned as a culinary hub, offering a diverse range of dining options from traditional hawker centres like Maxwell and Amoy Street to Michelin-recommended restaurants along Kiong Siak Road, Telok Ayer, and Duxton Hill. The hotel’s strategic location, just 200 meters from Tanjong Pagar MRT Station and 350 meters from Maxwell MRT Station, ensures convenient access to Singapore’s Downtown Core, Marina Bay, and other key districts popular among both locals and visitors.

“Avani Singapore represents a strategic market entry for Minor Hotels, and we are honored to have our partners Kajima and Alwathba alongside us as we venture into Singapore’s hospitality sector,” commented Dillip Rajakarier, Group CEO of Minor International and CEO of Minor Hotels. “Their industry expertise and market knowledge will ensure the delivery of an exceptional hotel experience, creating a vibrant base for business and leisure travellers.”

Avani Hotels & Resorts, a brand under Minor Hotels, is dedicated to providing modern travelers with chic accommodations, vibrant social areas, and laid-back dining experiences. Since its debut in 2011, Avani has grown to manage 42 properties across 24 countries. Minor Hotels aims to expand Avani’s presence to nearly 100 hotels and resorts by 2026, with new locations set to open in Thailand, China, and the Seychelles later this year.
