Minto Communities Ottawa (Minto Communities) has once again solidified its position as a leading home builder in the region by winning four prestigious awards at the Greater Ottawa Home Builders’ Association’s (GOHBA) 41st annual Housing Design Awards. The ceremony, held on November 2nd, 2024, saw Minto Communities take home the coveted Production Builder of the Year award, along with three individual accolades for the 2023 Minto Dream Home (The Equestrian).
The Equestrian, a testament to Minto’s commitment to the Ottawa community, environmental sustainability, and innovation in the industry, was specifically recognized for its unique geothermal heating and cooling technology, as well as its exceptional kitchen and bathroom designs. The home was designed and built for CHEO’s Dream of a Lifetime Lottery, highlighting Minto’s dedication to supporting local charities and initiatives.
This marks the fifth time Minto has been named Production Builder of the Year in recent years, previously earning the distinction in 2016, 2019, 2021, and 2022. Winning this award is a significant achievement for Minto Communities, signifying their unwavering dedication to providing exceptional homes and experiences to their homeowners.

The Equestrian’s unique blend of Arts & Crafts exterior design elements and modern, classic interior design sets it apart as a true masterpiece. Its semi-private cul-de-sac lot, backing onto protected green space, provides a sense of tranquility and privacy.
