Miu Miu, the family-owned brand founded by Miuccia Prada in 1993, has experienced considerable sales growth in the first quarter of 2024. According to Prada Group’s announcement on Wednesday, Miu Miu’s sales have surged by an impressive 89% year-to-year. This remarkable growth follows a previous 58% increase in sales in 2023, indicating the brand’s continued momentum. Since Raf Simons joined Prada as co-creative director in 2020, Miuccia Prada has been able to dedicate more attention to Miu Miu. She has described Prada as the ‘most serious part’ of herself, while Miu Miu serves as her ‘playground.’ Miu Miu’s recent success has contributed significantly to Prada Group’s overall performance. The Group reported a 16% increase in net revenues and a 7% growth in retail sales year-over-year. Prada Group chairman Patrizio Bertelli commented on the Group’s performance in a statement, saying, ‘Over the first quarter, we delivered a solid performance in a more challenging market environment.’ Miu Miu’s collegiate-inspired looks and signature pleated miniskirts have struck a chord with consumers, driving the brand’s impressive sales growth. This growth is a testament to Miuccia Prada’s creative vision and the brand’s ability to connect with its target audience.
