The Congress party has accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of employing Nazi propaganda tactics in his political rhetoric, particularly in reference to the party’s Nyay Patra for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh drew parallels between Modi’s tactics and those of Joseph Goebbels, the propaganda minister of Nazi Germany. Goebbels advocated for the repetition of large-scale falsehoods to gain public acceptance, a strategy that Ramesh claims Modi has adopted.
Ramesh cited Goebbels’ infamous quote, ‘If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.’ He also noted that Goebbels emphasized the principle of repeating lies consistently to maintain their credibility.
Congress has accused Modi of intentionally distorting information about the Nyay Patra and prioritizing falsehood over truth in his public statements. Ramesh alleged that Modi’s motto has always been ‘Asatyameva Jayate,’ which translates to ‘Untruth Triumphs.’ He asserted that Modi’s speeches invariably result in the suppression of truth.
The Congress party’s accusations against Modi are based on his recent interview with a TV channel, in which he allegedly made misleading statements about the Nyay Patra. Congress claims that Modi’s actions are a blatant attempt to deceive the public and manipulate public opinion.
