Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday declared that India’s voice is being heard with greater attention and seriousness on the global stage. He made this statement during the inauguration of various development projects in Gujarat, valued at over ₹ 4,900 crore. Modi highlighted that these projects would significantly enhance the lives of residents and accelerate the region’s economic growth. He specifically mentioned the development of ports in Amreli as part of a strategic port-led development initiative.
Furthermore, Modi lauded Gujarat’s exemplary water management practices, showcasing the state as a model for the nation. He also seized the opportunity to highlight the recent announcement by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to issue visas to 90,000 Indians annually. However, Modi emphasized that this opportunity necessitates the development of strong skills within the Indian workforce to fully capitalize on the growing global opportunities.
Earlier in the day, Modi, alongside Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, inaugurated the Tata Aircraft Complex in Vadodara. This complex will serve as the production hub for the C295 aircraft, marking a significant step in the burgeoning India-Spain partnership. Modi emphasized the project’s contribution to not only strengthening bilateral relations but also bolstering the ‘Make in India, Make for the World’ mission. He extended his best wishes to the Airbus and Tata teams involved and paid tribute to the late Ratan Tata.
Modi’s visit to Gujarat, marked by these project inaugurations and his emphasis on India’s growing global influence, underscores the nation’s ambitious developmental agenda and its commitment to leveraging strategic partnerships to propel its economic and technological advancement.
