Mohammad Rizwan’s Injury Casts Doubt on His Availability for Remaining T20Is Against New Zealand

Mohammad Rizwan’s Hamstring Injury Raises Availability Concerns for Pakistan

Pakistan’s wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan is a major doubt for the remaining T20I matches against New Zealand due to a hamstring injury sustained during the third T20I in Rawalpindi. Rizwan, a key top-order player for Pakistan, suffered the injury while setting a new record for the fastest 3,000 runs in T20 International cricket. The team management is expected to make a decision on his availability today after reviewing his scans.

Azam Khan Ruled Out of Series

Pakistan has also suffered the loss of wicket-keeper batsman Azam Khan, who has been ruled out of the series due to a Grade One tear in his right calf muscle. Khan experienced discomfort during a practice session, and radiology reports confirmed the injury. He has been advised to rest for 10 days.

New Zealand Levels Series

New Zealand made a stunning comeback in the series by winning the third T20I, courtesy of Mark Chapman’s brilliant performance. The series is now levelled at 1-1 with two matches remaining in Lahore on April 25 and 27. Pakistan had won the second T20I by seven wickets, but the first match was washed out due to rain.
