Monaco Host Lille in Rescheduled Ligue 1 Clash
Monaco will welcome Lille to the Stade Louis II on Wednesday for a rescheduled Ligue 1 gameweek 29 fixture.
Both sides will look to boost their Champions League qualification hopes. Monaco, currently second, can extend their lead over rivals Brest with a victory, while fourth-placed Lille can move level on points with their opponents.
However, Monaco’s home form has been questionable of late, with only one win in their last seven home games. Lille, on the other hand, has a strong home record but has struggled on the road, winning just one of their last seven away matches.
Monaco will be without Eliesse Ben Seghir and Wilfried Singo due to suspension, while Aleksandr Golovin, Ismail Jakobs, and Caio Henrique are all out with injuries.
Lille will be without Samuel Umtiti and Andrej Ilic due to injuries. Edon Zhegrova, who scored both goals in Lille’s 2-0 win over Monaco in the reverse fixture, is expected to start.
Wednesday’s game is a tricky one to call, with both sides in good form. However, Monaco’s 11-game unbeaten streak against Lille could give them the edge.
