Country music superstar Morgan Wallen recently addressed his arrest in Nashville, expressing remorse and accountability for his actions.
After initially avoiding public statements, Wallen took to social media to acknowledge reaching out to Nashville law enforcement, his family, and the staff at Chief’s bar, where the incident occurred. He emphasized his respect for the officers who work to maintain safety and stated that his upcoming tour would proceed as planned.
Wallen was arrested on April 7th after allegedly throwing a chair from the rooftop of Eric Church’s honky-tonk bar, narrowly missing two police officers. The singer faces charges of disorderly conduct and three counts of reckless endangerment, each of which could potentially carry a one to two-year prison sentence. However, legal experts suggest that it is unlikely he will serve all sentences consecutively.
Wallen’s next court appearance is scheduled for May 3rd, coinciding with his scheduled performances at Nissan Stadium in Nashville on May 2nd and 3rd.
