The mother of a 10-year-old spiritual content creator, known as ‘Bal Sant Baba,’ has filed a criminal complaint against seven YouTubers in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. Jyoti Arora, Abhinav Arora’s mother, alleges that these YouTubers have been engaging in online harassment and trolling her son, violating his privacy and causing him immense emotional distress.
The complaint, filed in the Mathura court, accuses the YouTubers of being ‘anti-Hindu’ and targeting Abhinav for his religious content. It states that the boy, who has amassed a following of over 9.5 lakh on Instagram, is unable to practice his religion or live his daily life without fear of being harassed or insulted online.
Adding further gravity to the situation, Abhinav’s family revealed that they received a life threat from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Jyoti Arora, speaking to ANI, stated that Abhinav has only engaged in devotion and has not done anything to warrant such threats. The family received a message from the Bishnoi gang threatening to kill Abhinav, prompting them to seek police protection.
The incident comes in the wake of a viral video showing Abhinav being scolded by Swami Rambhadracharya. However, Jyoti Arora clarifies that the video, filmed in Vrindavan in 2023, was blown out of proportion. She explained that Abhinav, engrossed in his devotion, forgot he needed to remain silent on stage and started chanting. According to her, Swami Rambhadracharya later gave him blessings, highlighting that even reprimands from elders can be considered blessings.
This case highlights the growing issue of cyberbullying and harassment faced by individuals, especially children, in the digital space. It raises serious concerns about online safety and the need for robust measures to protect vulnerable individuals from such malicious attacks.
