A court in Maharashtra’s Pune district has sent Manorama Khedkar, mother of controversial trainee IAS officer Puja Khedkar, to 14 days of judicial custody. The arrest stems from a case of threatening a farmer over a land dispute. Earlier on Saturday, Pune police produced Manorama Khedkar before the magistrate court. The Judicial Magistrate sent her to 14 days of judicial custody in the case. The incident came to light after a video went viral on social media, showing Khedkar allegedly threatening a farmer with a gun over a land dispute at Dhadwali village in the district’s Mulshi tehsil in 2023. Following the viral video, Pune police booked Khedkar’s parents, Manorama and Dilip, along with four others. The case is currently under investigation.
