Motorola Teases Next Big Event: Razr 2024 Lineup and AI Features in Focus

Motorola has announced its next big event, set to take place on June 25, 2024. The event, themed around “Flip the script” and “Intelligence inside and out,” strongly suggests the unveiling of the highly anticipated next Razr lineup and a focus on integrated AI features.

Motorola’s teaser on X (formerly Twitter) simply states that their next event is coming next week, accompanied by the slogan “Flip the script.” This all but confirms the unveiling of the Razr 2024 and Razr Plus 2024, as these devices are prominently featured in the teaser clip.

The emphasis on “Intelligence inside and out” further fuels speculation that Motorola will showcase a suite of AI features for the upcoming Razr series. This aligns with a growing trend in the mobile industry, with even Apple recently announcing its own AI tools.

The rumor mill has already spilled some beans about the next Razr series, hinting at significant upgrades. The Razr 50, expected to be called the Razr (2024) in the U.S., is rumored to feature a larger 3.63-inch cover display compared to the 1.5-inch panel on the 2023 version. This, coupled with a potential retention of the budget-friendly $699 price point, makes this an exciting prospect. A leaked render of the Razr (2024) by 91Mobiles has already surfaced online, offering a glimpse into its design.

The higher-end Razr Plus (2024) might boast an even larger 4-inch cover display this year, surpassing the 3.6-inch display of its 2023 counterpart. Both Razr models are expected to feature a spacious 6.9-inch inner display with an improved refresh rate.

Camera-wise, the Razr (2024) could be equipped with a powerful 50-megapixel main camera and a 13MP telephoto camera. The Razr Plus, on the other hand, might pack a 50MP main camera and a 50MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom.

Under the hood, the Razr (2024) is rumored to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300X chip with 8GB RAM, while the Razr Plus (2024) is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 with 12GB RAM. The Razr will reportedly house a 4,200mAh battery, while the Plus might offer an upgraded 4,000mAh battery with up to 45W wired charging speeds.

With only a week to go before Motorola’s event, anticipation is at a fever pitch. The next generation of Motorola’s popular flip phone is poised to make a splash, and tech enthusiasts worldwide are eagerly awaiting the official unveiling.
