MPSC Aspirants in Pune Demand Exam Postponement and Inclusion of Agriculture Posts

Aspirants for the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) exam in Pune have taken to the streets to voice their demands for changes to the upcoming examination. The protesters are calling for the inclusion of 258 posts from the Agriculture Department in the MPSC exam, arguing that these positions should be included in the selection process.

Adding to their concerns, the protesters are demanding the postponement of the exam scheduled for August 25th. They cite a conflict with the IBPS exam on the same date, which they believe will negatively affect many candidates who are preparing for both exams. The protesters feel that the current exam date creates an unavoidable overlap, making it difficult for candidates to adequately prepare and perform to their full potential on both exams.

Speaking to ANI, one MPSC aspirant outlined their two primary demands: “The exam on the 25th of August is overlapping with the IBPS exam. Our first demand is that the MPSC exam should be postponed. Our second demand is that 258 posts in the Agriculture Department exam should also be added to this…” Another aspirant echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the need for the Agriculture department vacancies to be incorporated into the MPSC exam: “We demand that the 258 vacancies in the Agriculture department exam should be added to the MPSC exam…IBPS exam is overlapping with the exam on August 25th….”

The protesters are determined to have their demands met before the exam takes place. They believe that these changes are essential to ensure a fair and equitable examination process for all aspiring candidates.
