The MSI Claw gaming handheld, which previously fell behind in performance compared to its rivals, is showing signs of improvement with the latest BIOS and Intel Graphics driver updates.
The BIOS update, version E1T41IMS.106, and the Intel Graphics driver update, version 31.0.101.5382, have resulted in noticeable performance enhancements in select games.
Hogwarts Legacy now runs up to 27.6% faster, Forza Horizon 5 sees a boost of 18.4%, and F1: 23 experiences an impressive 43.5% increase in frame rates. Other games, such as Diablo IV, Deadspace, and Helldivers 2, have also received performance improvements.
These updates are particularly promising given the criticism the MSI Claw has faced from reviewers and the availability of more compelling options like the Steam Deck OLED and the ROG Ally.
MSI remains committed to improving the Claw, and the discounts currently available make it a more attractive proposition for those looking to enter handheld gaming.
MSI Claw owners can download the BIOS update files from the MSI website and the Intel driver update from Live Update in the MSI Center M or directly from Intel’s website.
It remains to be seen if the MSI Claw can fully compete with the top handhelds in the market, but the recent updates and discounts certainly enhance its appeal.
