MSI is ready to welcome Intel’s next generation of desktop CPUs, known as Arrow Lake, with an impressive lineup of new Z890 motherboards. These motherboards, designed specifically to support the upcoming Arrow Lake processors, have been generating excitement in the tech community, particularly after some early performance benchmarks were leaked online. With the official launch of Intel’s new chips approaching, we can expect even more benchmarks to surface soon.
To give us a sneak peek, MSI invited me to their motherboard manufacturing factory in Shenzhen, China, where they showcased their latest Z890 offerings. The highlight of the event was the unveiling of MSI’s main four boards: the Pro Z890-A Wi-Fi, the MPG Z890 Edge Ti Wi-Fi, the MPG Z890 Carbon Wi-Fi, the MEG Z890 Ace, and the MAG Z890 Tomahawk Wi-Fi. Each board boasts a unique aesthetic and set of features, but all are prepared for Intel’s Arrow Lake CPUs.
One of the standout features across these boards is Thunderbolt 4 support, promising lightning-fast data transfer speeds. Additionally, improved connectivity and an added 8-pin connector boost the board’s power capabilities, allowing for up to 60W charging on certain models. This feature is particularly beneficial for users with multiple devices, like laptops, smartphones, power banks, and tablets.
