MSI has delivered the eagerly anticipated 0x12B microcode BIOS patch to a selection of Z90 and B760 motherboards. Following Intel’s announcement yesterday of the new 0x12B microcode patch designed to address instability issues with its 13th and 14th generation CPUs, MSI is among the first to provide the update. This patch focuses on resolving excessive voltage requests that were occurring during idle and low-intensity activities, causing general instability, game crashes, and other problems.
MSI has revealed the initial wave of motherboards receiving this update, encompassing a total of 14 boards. The update is now available for download, covering both the B760 series and two Z790 PCH-based models. Notably, MSI has stated that more motherboards will be added to this list in the coming days. Additionally, other motherboard manufacturers are expected to roll out their own versions of this essential BIOS update in the near future, ensuring widespread stability improvements for Intel’s latest processors.
