MTV VMAs 2024 to Take Place in New York on September 10
The MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) are returning to New York on September 10, 2024, marking the event’s 40th anniversary. The ceremony will be held at the UBS Arena, one of the country’s newest and most cutting-edge venues.
In a statement, Bruce Gillmer, President of Music, Music Talent, Programming & Events, Paramount and Chief Content Officer, Music, Paramount+, expressed excitement about bringing the VMAs to the UBS Arena and celebrating one of music’s biggest nights with the incredible fans in the New York area.
New York Governor Kathy Hochul also welcomed the VMAs back to New York State, acknowledging its origins at Radio City Music Hall in 1984 and its continued captivation of millions of viewers. She emphasized the state’s commitment to creativity and innovation in the cultural landscape.
A specific time for the broadcast has not yet been announced, but the ceremony will air live on MTV’s linear and digital platforms in more than 150 countries and territories.
