A series of shootings along Interstate 5 in the Seattle area left at least four people injured, one in critical condition, during the overnight hours. The first incident was reported Monday evening, according to Washington State Patrol Trooper Rick Johnson. A victim of that shooting drove themselves to a fire station for treatment before being transported to a hospital, as reported by KOMO-TV. Shortly after, the state patrol received reports of two additional shootings. The Seattle Fire Department confirmed that their crews treated a 20-year-old woman who was taken to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.
Early Tuesday morning, the suspect’s vehicle was located and an individual was apprehended with the assistance of five different law enforcement agencies. Trooper Johnson did not provide any details regarding the suspect’s identity or the circumstances surrounding the arrests. Authorities are investigating the incidents and working to determine the motive behind the shootings.
