Mumbai: 16-Year-Old Boy Killed in Dispute Over Girl

Police in Mumbai have arrested a 19-year-old man for allegedly killing a 16-year-old boy in a dispute over a girl. The incident occurred in the Ghatkopar area of Mumbai on Sunday night.

The victim had reportedly warned the suspect, Rushikesh Gurav, against meeting a girl from his locality. When Gurav reached the locality to meet the girl, the victim confronted him, leading to a physical altercation.

During the altercation, Gurav allegedly attacked the victim with a sharp weapon, causing fatal injuries. The victim was rushed to a hospital but was declared dead.

Based on CCTV footage from the area, the police identified and apprehended Gurav from Diva in neighboring Thane district. A case of murder has been registered against him under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

The incident has shocked the local community, and the police are investigating the motive behind the crime. They are also looking into the possibility of any other individuals involved in the dispute.
