Mumbai is bracing for heavy rainfall as the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) has issued a yellow alert for the city, effective until July 19. The alert comes as the city anticipates heavy rainfall, with the maximum and minimum temperatures expected to hover around 30 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius, respectively.
The Meteorological Department has also issued an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rains at isolated locations in Thane and Palghar districts today.
Beyond Mumbai, the IMD has issued an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rains in Raigad, Sindhudurg, Pune, Kolhapur, and Satara districts of Maharashtra. A yellow alert has been issued in several other parts of the state, including Yavatmal, Washim, Wardha, Nagpur, Gadchiroli, Buldhana, Amravati, Akola, Nanded, and Hingoli.
Ratnagiri district faces the most severe weather conditions with a red alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall, including extremely heavy rainfall in isolated areas, issued for today.
