The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has confirmed that ticket prices for the upcoming third Test, to be held at the iconic Wankhede Stadium from November 1-5, will remain the same as the previous series. This means fans can enjoy the action-packed matches without worrying about a price hike.
The Wankhede Stadium itself is gearing up for a momentous occasion. Next year, on January 19th, the stadium will be celebrating its 50th anniversary. The MCA is planning a grand golden jubilee celebration to commemorate this milestone.
The MCA Apex Council meeting also saw some exciting announcements for players and clubs. All trainee players participating in the off-season camp across various age groups (U-14, U-16, U-19 boys and U-15, U-19, U-23 senior women) will receive First-Class passes and travel allowances from the MCA. To further support their career aspirations, the MCA will organize a career fair for its players. This event will offer a unique opportunity for players to interact with top executives from various corporate organizations, as well as former and current Indian cricketers. MCA President Ajinkya Naik highlighted that the primary focus of this event will be on player recruitment, providing them with diverse career opportunities both within and outside of cricket.
To further benefit players, the MCA is also arranging an equipment fair for MCA players and affiliated clubs. This will provide a platform for players to purchase equipment directly from manufacturers at competitive prices. The MCA is also ensuring that clubs are well-supported by covering match-day expenses for MCA Affiliated Office Clubs participating in the Times Shield and MCA Corporate Trophy. In addition, a new air-conditioned enclosure will be created for MCA club secretaries at the Vithal Divecha Pavilion at the Wankhede Stadium. The MCA will also distribute subsidies to affiliated office clubs and school and college clubs.
