In anticipation of the vibrant Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in Mumbai, the Mumbai Metro has extended its operational hours to ensure convenient and safe travel for devotees. Known for its grand Ganesha pandals, Mumbai comes alive during the festival, with many people preferring to visit these pandals late at night.
To accommodate the influx of late-night commuters, Mumbai Metro has extended its services until September 17th, 2024. The last train on the Ghatkopar-Versova route will depart from Versova towards Ghatkopar at 12:10 am and from Ghatkopar towards Versova at 12:40 am.
In addition to the Ghatkopar-Versova route, the metro will also operate extended services between Andheri West and Gundavali terminals. The last metro service from both terminals will be extended from 11:00 PM to 11:30 PM between September 11th and 17th, 2024.
