“Airbräu has been an integral part of Munich Airport for 25 years and a vital gathering spot for travelers from around the world,” said Dr. Jan-Henrik Andersson, Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Security Officer. “Our brewery embodies Bavarian hospitality and tradition, which we are proud to uphold for years to come.”
Since its grand opening on September 9th, 1999, Airbräu has proudly crafted and served over 11.5 million liters of beer, including popular favorites like the “Fliegerquell” light beer and the “Kumulus” wheat beer. Embracing sustainability, Airbräu has been brewing all its beer using CO2-neutral solar energy since 2022, showcasing their commitment to environmentally conscious practices.
Airbräu isn’t just about beer; it’s a complete Bavarian experience. They’ve served an astounding 2,545,875 Weisswurst sausages over the last 25 years, a testament to their culinary excellence. In 2020, they expanded their menu to cater to evolving dietary preferences, offering a delicious array of vegetarian and vegan options.
In 2024, Airbräu stepped into the digital age with the launch of their online store, www.airbraeu.shop.de. Here, you can discover a unique beer brandy from Mountain Hub Distillers, available in “Infused,” “Oaked,” and “Pure” varieties.
