The Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) is participating in the IMEX Frankfurt tradeshow, happening from May 14th to 16th, 2024. Accompanying the national bureau are 13 co-exhibitors, including state tourism and exhibition bureaus, convention centers, hotels, and industry players such as Professional Conference Organizers and Destination Management Companies. This marks MyCEB’s 12th presence at IMEX Frankfurt since 2011, aligning with the Malaysia Business Events Strategic Marketing Plan 2021 – 2030.
MyCEB is committed to profiling and empowering the Malaysian business events industry by engaging with relevant segments of the market. This year’s participation holds particular significance as MyCEB, an agency under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture (MOTAC) Malaysia, prepares for the promotion of Visit Malaysia Year 2026.
With a focus on Frankfurt, Germany, a prime destination for targeting corporate clientele, MyCEB aims to connect directly with planners, decision-makers, and influencers in the business events industry. The tradeshow is expected to host over 4,000 buyers, providing an excellent opportunity for MyCEB to promote its MyTripleE campaign, prioritizing the Automobile, Environment, Pharmaceutical, and Science industries through scheduled appointments.
Mr. Azman Haji Tambi Chik, CEO of MyCEB stated, “Our drive to profiling Malaysia as the preferred Business Events destination in Malaysia is unswerving and we continue to provide first-hand information on what is fresh in the country to serve the business events community at every show we are part of, following our roadmap to achieve the Strategic Marketing Plan by the year 2030. Additionally, we are always excited for knowledge exchange and business leads as the Malaysian pavilion continues to be a pull for our audience. Last year, IMEX Frankfurt assisted the Malaysian delegation in collectively booking a staggering 57,700 appointments from 84 countries and we are surely looking to exceed the amount this year”.
The Malaysian pavilion at A220 will offer visitors a taste of the country’s culture with traditional games and local cuisines. Additionally, the Malaysian delegation has organized extra activities, including a meeting with the Asia Convention Alliance (ACA) on May 13th and a networking reception at the pavilion on May 15th. Furthermore, on May 15th, MyCEB hosted a press conference at the Press Centre, Room Symmetrie 2. During the session, exciting news was revealed regarding plans to enhance bilateral ties within the MICE/Business Events Community, currently in the process of formation.
All parties interested in learning more about Malaysia as a premier business events destination are encouraged to visit the pavilion or reach out to the MyCEB team for further information.
