A collision between the Mysuru-Darbhanga Express train and a stationary train in Kavarapettai, Tamil Nadu, on Friday evening left several passengers injured. The incident occurred around 8:30 pm near the Ponneri-Kavarapettai section, according to reports.

The impact of the collision caused one of the coaches of the Mysuru-Darbhanga Express to catch fire, and two other coaches derailed. While the exact number of injured passengers remains unclear, police have confirmed that several individuals were injured in the accident.

Rescue teams and ambulances swiftly responded to the scene. For those seeking information regarding the passengers or details about the accident, the Chennai Division of Indian Railways has provided two helpline numbers: 04425354151 and 04424354995.
