In the video, one woman describes the incident, stating that “Just tonight, I was coming back with my female friend from the movie and suddenly two cars full of 10 men tried to block our way.” The men can be seen making loud noises and one is even seen sitting on the car window.

Nainital Police responded swiftly, registering an FIR and apprehending the individuals involved in the incident. “SSP Nainital has taken immediate cognizance of the viral video of the incident of chasing girls by a vehicle in Haldwani city last night, and an FIR has been registered. The youths riding in both vehicles have been caught by the police. Strict action is being taken,” Nainital Police said in a statement.
SSP Prahalad Narayan Meena, in a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), condemned the incident and issued a strong warning, stating that such behavior is unacceptable. The video has garnered over 32,000 views on the platform since it was shared on August 28.
