Napoli Winger David Neres Robbed at Gunpoint After Parma Win

Napoli winger David Neres was the victim of a frightening robbery after his team’s 2-1 win over Parma on Saturday night. As Neres was leaving the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in his van, two men on a motorcycle smashed a window and held him at gunpoint, stealing his watch.

The incident was revealed by Neres’ wife, Kira Winona, in an Instagram post. She explained that Neres had been left shaken by the experience and was unable to stop and sign autographs for waiting fans as they returned to their hotel. Winona apologized on behalf of her husband, stating, “David would like to say sorry to the fans who were waiting outside for him. While trying to leave the stadium after the game, two men on a motorcycle smashed the car and robbed him at gunpoint.”

This incident comes just months after retired Italian football legend Roberto Baggio was robbed at gunpoint at his home while watching the national team’s game against Spain at the European Championship. The robbers, who entered Baggio’s home while he was watching the game, locked him and his family in a room before stealing jewelry, watches, and cash.

The recent incidents highlight a growing concern about crime in Naples and Italy, raising questions about security measures for high-profile athletes and public figures.
