U.S. Representative Richard E. Neal is expressing gratitude for the House’s passage of a $95 billion foreign aid package that includes $61 billion for Ukraine. However, he fears that Republican opposition may make it challenging to pass additional major legislation before the November election.
The House GOP’s majority, which was divided over the aid package, is expected to shrink to a single vote come Friday, when a representative from Wisconsin is anticipated to resign. Despite the passage of this aid package, Neal remains concerned about the potential for Republican obstructionism in future legislative efforts.
