Neeraj Chopra, the two-time Olympic medalist in men’s javelin throw, secured his place in the finale by finishing fourth in the overall standings. He showcased his prowess with impressive performances in Lausanne and Doha, achieving second-place finishes at both meetings. In Lausanne, he threw a remarkable 89.49m, while in Doha, his best throw was 88.36m.
Avinash Sable, the Asian Games gold medalist in men’s 3000m steeplechase, will be aiming for a strong showing in Brussels. He recently finished 14th at the Silesia Diamond League 2024 in Poland, and will be looking to improve on that performance.
