NEET PG 2024 Exam Begins Tomorrow: Supreme Court Dismisses Postponement Plea

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will conduct the highly anticipated NEET PG 2024 exam starting tomorrow, August 11. The exam will be held in two shifts, with the first shift commencing at 9 am and concluding at 12.30 pm, while the second shift will be conducted from 3.30 pm to 7 pm.

In a significant development, the Supreme Court on Friday dismissed a petition seeking postponement of the NEET-PG examination. The plea argued that candidates had been allocated cities that were inconvenient to reach. However, the top court maintained that it could not jeopardize the careers of two lakh candidates for the sake of five students who had filed the petition.

The NEET PG exam was initially scheduled for June 23 but was postponed by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) as a precautionary measure in response to the controversy surrounding the NEET UG exam. This postponement was prompted by reports of paper leaks and irregularities in the conduct of exams this year, raising concerns about the integrity of competitive examinations in the country.
