The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced that the registration process for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate Exams (NEET-PG) 2024 will close on May 6, 2024, at 11:50 PM. Aspiring candidates who wish to pursue their postgraduate medical degrees are advised to submit their applications on the official website of NBEMS. An edit window will be available from May 10 to May 16, during which candidates can make necessary corrections to their applications, excluding their name, nationality, email, mobile number, and test city. A second edit window will open from May 28 for seven days, allowing candidates to edit their photographs, signatures, and thumb impressions. The final edit window will be open from June 7 to June 10, 2024. It is important to note that no further corrections will be permitted after the closure of the final edit window on June 10, 2024. The counseling sessions for NEET PG 2024 will commence on August 5 and conclude by October 15, 2024. The academic session for successful candidates will begin on September 16, 2024. General, OBC, and EWS category candidates are required to pay a registration fee of ₹3,500, while SC, ST, and disabled candidates are required to pay ₹2,500. Candidates must possess an MBBS degree or Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and have completed or are expected to complete one year of internship by August 15, 2024. In a significant development, NBEMS has announced a change in the examination pattern for NEET PG 2024. The question paper will be divided into multiple time-bound sections, and candidates must complete each section within the allotted time before moving on to the next. Candidates will not be able to review or modify their answers for a section once the allotted time has expired.
