The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has declared today, August 20, 2024, as the final day for registration in the first round of NEET UG 2024 counselling. Aspiring medical professionals seeking admission to coveted MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing programs must complete their registration process by 12 noon on the official website, mcc.nic.in. This crucial round covers 15% of the All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government medical colleges, as well as all seats in esteemed Deemed/Central Universities, ESIC/AFMS institutions, AIIMS, JIPMER, and BSc Nursing programs.
Candidates are advised to seize this opportunity to secure their preferred seats by completing the choice filling process before the deadline of 11:55 pm tonight. This allows them to express their preferences for specific colleges and courses. They can also lock their choices during this period. The results of the first round of seat allotment will be announced on August 23, 2024.
Successful candidates who are allotted seats must report to their respective colleges between September 14 and 20, 2024, for document verification and the completion of admission formalities. It is imperative that all candidates keep their original documents ready for this process.
The NEET UG 2024 counselling will be conducted in four rounds, including a stray vacancy round to fill remaining seats. While this first round focuses on the All India Quota, the remaining 85% of MBBS and BDS seats will be filled through individual state-level counselling processes.
