The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) re-examination is scheduled to take place today for 1,563 students. The re-exams, announced by the NTA, will be conducted between 2 to 5 pm. However, the decision has sparked protest in Rajkot, Gujarat, with students expressing their dissatisfaction.
Students who have already performed well in the exam are particularly vocal against the re-examination. One such student, Palak from Gujarat, who scored 682 marks in the NEET-UG exams, stated to news agency ANI, “I have scored 682 marks in the NEET-UG exams. There should be no Re-NEET exams as we have scored these marks with hard work and dedication. The students who have scored below 600 marks are demanding for Re-NEET…”
Another candidate, Diksha from Haryana, expressed her frustration, stating, “Whatever is happening is very strange. Everywhere cheating is happening…There is no discipline…” The re-examination, scheduled for today, has become a contentious issue, with students demanding fairness and transparency in the examination process. The results of the NEET-UG exams are tentatively scheduled to be released on June 30.
