Neon Dreams Triumphs at 2024 East Coast Music Awards, Taking Home Album of the Year

Neon Dreams, composed of singer Frank Kadillac and drummer Adrian Morris, prevailed over a competitive field to capture the prestigious Album of the Year honor. The duo has garnered widespread recognition for their innovative sound that fuses alternative pop with captivating lyrics.

In a separate category, P.E.I.’s The East Pointers, who received an impressive seven nominations, secured the Group Recording of the Year award for their EP “Safe in Sound.” Singer-songwriter Jenn Grant, known for her poignant lyrics and distinctive voice, was recognized as the Songwriter of the Year.

Other notable winners included Tim Baker, who claimed the Solo Recording of the Year for his album “The Festival,” and the Celtic rockers Derina Harvey Band, who won the coveted Fans’ Choice Entertainer of the Year award. Maggie Andrew and Morgan Toney were celebrated as the African Canadian Artist of the Year and Indigenous Artist of the Year, respectively. The late Bruce Guthro, a beloved Cape Breton singer-songwriter who passed away last year, received a posthumous tribute with the Director’s Special Achievement Award.
